It has been found that ingredients such as the solvents, acrylics and acrylic softeners used in most conventional paints are hazardous both to health and the environment.

Many of you will have heard of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and be aware that these and other chemical compounds can cause chest complaints, aggravate allergies, contribute to the greenhouse effect and pollute the environment.

Fortunately, earthBorn isn?t the only company deeply concerned about the health and environmental impact of paint products. We have teamed up with a pioneering German manufacturer to provide you with a real choice when it comes to decorating.

Our aim is to provide stylish products that are high performing, safer to use and sound for the environment.

In addition, we do not believe you should have to sacrifice quality for safety or the environment. By careful selection of ingredients and technologically advanced manufacturing processes we are able to create outstanding products that prove our point.

We take an holistic approach to paint, considering its potential environmental impact at every stage - manufacture, application, disposal and lifespan.

During manufacture, we apply rigorous screening procedures to ensure that any effluent creates minimal pollution.

During use, and thereafter, conventional paints and varnishes can release harmful solvents and compounds into the air. These contribute to depletion of the ozone layer and are known to be harmful to health, being carcinogenic and a cause of sick building syndrome.
