With
over 8 billion plastic bags used every year in the UK alone
silksack is the smart alternative. Sumptuous to touch, reusable
and tough but lightweight it is the very opposite of a plastic
bag.
Made from 100% silk, the silksack is a bag designed to be always with you, a practical alternative
to acquiring unwanted plastic bags during spontaneous and
every day shopping. The bag is stylish and strong yet folds
neatly into itself to form a palm sized pad, which is comfortable
to carry in your handbag or pocket.
Just four fewer plastic bags a week, and in 20 years you'll keep 4,160 bags out of the landfill sites

Green Glass is all about making great looking, useful things from recycled glass. They transform used beer and wine bottles into funky glasses. Broken glass is crushed or melted to produce gorgeous beads for jewellery. Tea light holders are created from molten beer bottles.
The idea for Green Glass originated when its founders were in Africa, working on environmental projects in Namibia, Botswana and Swaziland. Having bought lots of recycled glasses and admired the simplicity it seemed a fantastic idea that could developed in the UK.
Green Glass? processes are designed to be as energy efficient as possible. They use recycled material wherever possible for our packaging and make sure all of their suppliers are on the ball as well. What? more they won the Business Challenge Awards for energy, environment and community to prove it. Tags: green glass glasses glass bottles beer jewellery
